The original concept was the thought of allowing oneself to get caught up in the eddies of joy and beauty that constantly swirl around us in life, but that we more often than not ignore or convince ourselves that we don't have time for them. To get caught up in an eddy, as in taking the time to stop and smell the roses, is really a study in presence, and priorities.
I adore this version of Eddies as the voicings have grown to reflect an even deeper appreciation and gratitude for such experiences in my life. I trust that you will allow yourself to get caught up in the eddies too...
credits
The only instrument played in this track is an electric guitar run through a Roland VG-8, and it was recorded live as a single take during the summer of 2010 in The Studio at Maple Ridge.
