Maple Sugar Ridge was another track inspired by a set of joyful circumstances. I had been spending many wonderful late evenings in the sugar shack engaged in that magical ritual of boiling sap down into maple syrup. There is something mystical about this process, or maybe it's just the sheer amount of steam rising off the evaporating pan for so many hours. Either way the sugar shack is an incubator for powerful conversations and insightful reflection. Unfolding at the same time was the acceptance to house my studio on a gorgeous estate called Maple Ridge in a most inspiring space overlooking vast fields and forests. The maple connection drove me wild, the joy couldn't be contained, and this track was born.
