Noosphere was actually an evolution of TemplEarth, cutting out one of the main rhythms that I had played earlier and adding more of a harmonic motif. I love how raw the energy is!
For much of this entire episode I was experiencing distinct sensations of connection with a collective intelligence, and during this piece in particular, hence it's intention as a reminder / invitation to be mindful of our participation in something much larger than ourselves.
These pieces were recorded live and from scratch as looping sessions, meaning each part was played live and looped into an ever thickening tapestry of sound. The only editing that took place after the fact was to create the in and out points. In other words, for length.
